As someone who has loved Hawke since 12 years of age, I approach this book with enthusiasm. So far, the book discusses Hawke’s parents and early life. I am in awe of Hawke’s Mother. What a remarkable woman! A beautiful and sincere writing style, is making this an exciting read so far.

Everyone should read this book and they will clearly see what Abbott-Turnbull-Hanson want for Australia. It's time the stigmatisation of the poor stopped!

Magda Szubanski is an absolutely brilliant writer. I'm in awe. I'm in love with the beauty of how her prose flows so effortlessly. I'm re-reading paragraphs because they are simply so well written and exquisite. If you have not purchased Reckoning yet, I highly recommend it and I'm only nearly a third of the way through! Oh to have such talent. What a blessing.

I'm really struggling with this book. I am not feeling the same as the reviews on the book. This is not a thriller by any means. Hopefully the final few chapters pick it up a bit.

Just started. Sounds very interesting so far. The main character's tone is like he is having a conversation with me. I love that quality in writing. It is one of the things I most loved about A Clockwork Orange.

Just started reading yesterday. I like the narrative beginning so far. It sounds interesting.

This is such a huge book! Very interesting topics woven into the book. Having had a sleep disorder, King hits the nail on the head in such detail. He is such an intelligent man with how he writes. Everything is so believable. Now the election is over, I may get through it quicker with a bit more me time.
