Not really sure what to think of this so far. The audiobook narrator is good it reads the Spanish parts and translates it right after which I appreciate

I’ve still been falling asleep reading this every night and I’ve slowly but surely made some good progress

Next audiobook! This book was another high school book club pick but I never read it back then and it’s Rachel’s favorite book of all time so I’m finally picking it up. I just read some reviews and it seems like there is a lot of controversy/review bombing but the average rating is still so high

I seem to have forgotten the entire plot of this book over the past 5 years so it’s like I’m reading it for the first time I’m having such a good time

Audiobook of the week! I started 7 different books in the past week and didn’t make a dent into any of them I’m losing my mind I want to enjoy a book start to finish

I love this series so much I’m planning on doing a (super super slow) reread/annotation book by book. Like maybe just a chapter or two every few days. I want the date I started my reread of this beautiful journey documented on goodreads but I probably won’t update every time I read perhaps just at big moments

I’ve been reading 10-20 pages of this book each night before bed since Tuesday last week lol I think I said I wouldn’t continue the series but I changed my mind. Excited for the show to come out this friday!

Started this a few days ago in anticipation of the movie that came out Friday but I didn’t get very far! Hopefully finishing it this week

Ebooks suck sometimes how did they reference a show that came out in 2020 in a book that came out in 2015?? What was the original reference? What else in the book has been changed?? Preserve your physical media people nothing online is actually owned by you these are lost tapes

I’ve been spring cleaning all day which gave me a lot of time to listen to this audiobook. I forgot how much I loved this book omg. I did a bit of digging and came to the conclusion that I must have read it the first time in October 2017 and I had fun going back and seeing what else I was doing in October 2017 on my camera roll. I love this book so much and I stand by my 2017 five star rating

This book cusses A LOT literally how were we allowed to read this in high school

I read this for high school book club wayyy back in the day and I’ve been in a big sci fi mood recently so I’m listening to the audiobook for a fun little throwback

Part 3! This isn’t super scary or thriller-y yet it feels like I’m reading a Nancy drew detective book. I truly don’t care about the narrator at all or about his wife storyline. I just want to know why Alicia doesn’t speak and why everyone is lying

Just got to part 2. My lowkey goal is to read it all today but we’ll see. It’s very interesting that the narrator is the psychologist I’m curious to see how this plays out

Read a bit more before bed. I know it’s fredrik Backman and he doesn’t write happy books but this is just tragedy after heartbreak after suffering after pain it’s a great story but it’s really bumming me out

It’s so nice outside I went for an hour long stroll and got a good chunk of the audiobook done boo yah

Fredrik Backman’s writing is so strange. He uses such short sentences constantly that it’s distracting but I’m enjoying the direction the story is going

Second time is the charm. I’m near the part I stopped at before but I’m actually enjoying it this time hopefully I can get a good chunk in tomorrow. It feels good to be back in Beartown

Somehow I never expected this turn of events even though it seems so obvious. Very interested to see how this ends I have less than 2 hours left of the audiobook hopefully I can finish this tonight or tomorrow

I think in my last update I said I wanted to switch back to the physical version but I’ve completely changed my mind I’m still audiobooking and don’t want to read it physically

Trying to ride the sci fi high from reading project Hail Mary but this is way more suspenseful than I thought and it’s making me feel uneasy. There’s a reason I don’t read mystery/thrillers anymore, they make me super anxious and give me nightmares but at the same time they’re so fast paced I just read 115 pages in like 90 minutes. Speaking of mysteries did you see Freida McFadden is a BRAIN DOCTOR??

Admittedly I am not reading every story in this book but I’m skimming all of them and actually pouring into the ones I’m most interested in. I went to the library looking for a different nonfiction book that Ryan Gosling mentioned in an interview but it was checked out and this cover caught my eye

This book is a hot mess I can’t imagine it has a positive ending

Just got to part 2. This is the kind of book that you can’t put down while reading but you never actually want to pick it up to read if that makes sense

I think I’d like to go back to reading this physically. The audiobook is good but I’m breaking up my listening so much that I’m spending more time trying to remember what has happened than I am enjoying the story. Something was revealed that truly blew my mind though golly

I have been so fearful of this book (I just wasn’t sure I’d like it based on the description) but I am finally trusting that TJR could never steer me wrong (I’ve loved the four books I’ve read by her). I have the large print version and adjusted my goodreads version to match but this book is only about 360 pages of normal text not over 500 which makes me feel like I’m FLYING through it.

I’m feeling very good about my rating of this book
