I know she really doesn't have many other ways to say it, but I'm distracted by the overuse of the word blog. Almost every sentence has "blog" or "blogger"...

Nope, she has not gotten professional help. And she signed on for a second year writing articles for SHAPE with no new game plan from the magazine, herself, or her advisors. i find the overall tone sad, depressing, and hopeless.

Finally 60% into the book she mentions she thinks she has an eating disorder. Now perhaps the next 40% will be about her getting proper help!

I can't believe it, but Roarke is finally growing on me.

Also nice that Roarke doesn't know everything about everyone this time around. Makes him more realistic and the story more interesting to not have him just hand over all the answers,

Enjoying this book more than the first 2. More characters and more interesting interaction and intrigue. Also enjoy that Peabody is there to do the menial tasks that would bore the reader. Also prefer Roarke when he is not over saturating the book.

I think the reason that I'm not really feeling this book is the abundance of narrative and lack of dialogue.

It has everything in it that makes a book I love (magic, lovable main and supporting characters, great world building) but for some reason I'm just not enraptured and reading it is feeling like a chore. Perhaps it's a "it's not you, it's me" situation.

I'm still not sure what Yelena's goal is (I don't think she knows either) but the out-of-nowhere attempt to get it on with Valek was awkward >.<

I'm not enjoying this book so far. There is no clear plot, objective, or even romantic interest. It's a bunch of mush >.<

I do pick up short stories once in a while. This collection was the September 2012 pick for the Vaginal Fantasy book club.

I found the stories to be quick, creepy, and erotic but not overtly so. They are all short little glimpses into the lives of people that either live in Lovecraft's world, or have brushed against something from it.

So far I have found each story to be well-written and enjoyable.
