My local comic shop got this in early?? Not sure if they were really supposed to be selling it yet...but I won’t tell if you won’t ;). It’s so fun so far!

I’ve been suuuuper busy lately and haven’t had time to read even comics! But my schedule is clearing just a bit, so I’m going to try to catch up on some of the series I’m following. Just read Red Hood and the Outlaws Vol. 3, so I think I’ll try to review that today!

The art is very 90s, and not in a good way...super sketchy with weird colors. Not a fan so far, and the story isn't too engaging yet either...

It's buy one get one free for DC titles on comixology right now...I may have gone a bit overboard...

It's been a while since I read the first volume so I'm a bit fuzzy, but honestly this is such a breath of fresh air after the terrible terrible rebirth volume. Good to know I'm not crazy and my memories of Giffen's older writing being not terrible are true after all!

Have I still not finished this? Looks like I forgot I was reading it again...if it weren't marked as halfway on Goodreads I think I would have forgotten entirely :/

This book's only 17 years old, but it does already feel dated. Nevertheless, I think this is much more what I was looking for in a nonfiction book on the history of Wonder Woman than Lepore's book, which I recently read.

I'm really loving this story and the dialog especially is really great, but the art leaves something to be desired. The women are really sexualized in how they're drawn, and there are many gratuitous and awkward close-ups of Huntress's ass--like so many I lost count.

Technically this isn't released as a trade yet, but I'm reading through the issues, so it amounts to the same thing in my book. I just completed the first three issues and I'm already in love. This is the version of Diana's origin that I've been waiting for, the version we deserve.

I'm not sure why, since everyone else seems to find this book incredible, but I am just bored to tears. I set this down a week or so ago and I can't for the life of me remember anything that happened. I can't decide if that's because I drank a couple glasses of wine during my last reading sesh or because the book's actually not that good, but either way I'm only a quarter way in and I'm afraid this one'll be a slog.

I've really stalled out on this one. It's kinda cute but I also just feel like it's really boring. Not difficult to get through at all, but lately when I sit down to read, I just never feel like picking this one back up. I'm gonna have to force myself to finish it soon.
