Tammy Will is on page 126 of 479 of Rules of Prey (Lucas Davenport, #1)
I read this book more than 30 years ago. I am starting again from the beginning so I can get caught up on the series. Reading about Lucas Davenport, from the very early days, feels like being reacquainted with an old friend.

Tammy Will
Tammy Will is on page 261 of 325 of Forget Me Not
This pulse-quickening thriller has me simultaneously wanting to put it down because I am afraid for the main character and not being able to put it down because I need to see how the story concludes. It’s like watching a scary movie with your hands covering your eyes. Of course, that makes it difficult to read.

Tammy Will
Tammy Will is on page 156 of 378 of The Mysterious Case of Rudolf Diesel: Genius, Power, and Deception on the Eve of World War I
This is a history class and a science class woven together to tell the story of one man who, I believe, was ahead of his time.

Tammy Will is on page 264 of 389 of Home Before Dark
This is my second Riley Sager book and, like the first one I read, I have no idea who the bad guy/girl is. The reveal in the first book completely knocked my socks off. I haven’t even entertained any ideas about who it could be in this book. I do know that I had to stop reading last night and do something else before I went to bed lest I dream about the book.

Tammy Will is on page 106 of 342 of Every Time I Go on Vacation, Someone Dies (The Vacation Mysteries, #1)
This is a fun read! It’s a book within a book. It is also written in a light meta fiction style. This is my first fiction book with footnotes.

Even in “The Family Way,” our Molly finds herself in a precarious situation.

Tammy Will is starting No More Words: A Journal of My Mother, Anne Morrow Lindbergh
This is the second book I’ve read by Reeve Lindbergh. The first one was Under a Wing. That was many years ago.
She identifies her mother as her mentor in her writings. She has a true gift for sharing personal, painful, funny stories of the time shared with her mother as her mother approaches the end of her life. It is a story easily relatable to anyone who has lost loved ones.

Tammy Will is starting The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store
Again, I don’t know what made me add this book to my to-read list. As I was reading it, I thought it was going to be a deep, over-my-head type of book.
It turned out to be a real story of people and community.
Both heartbreaking and funny, at times, it is a powerful read.

Tammy Will is starting The Lost Apothecary
This is another book that I’m not sure how it found its way onto my list. It is not the type of book I typically read. Still, it appealed to me the more I read it.
Historical fiction, set in two different timelines, gives you an expectation that the two timelines will connect, overlap, and meet. And, they did.

Tammy Will is starting Fall from Grace (Karl Alberg #4)
I struggled with this book. I am going to watch the episode of the TV show now. This book storyline wasn’t familiar at all to me from what I watched.

Tammy Will is starting On Juneteenth
I listened to this on audio. Ms Gordon-Reed shares the history of the celebration of Emancipation, the history of Texas, and her own personal anecdotes of her home state and the role it played in Juneteenth. I learned so much!

I fully expected to cry at some point while reading this book. It happened. It just didn’t happen where I expected it to be.

Tammy Will is on page 253 of 352 of For the Love of Mike (Molly Murphy Mysteries, #3)
With only five chapters remaining, there was just another twist in the storyline that I did not see coming. The third book in the series finds our Molly working two cases, juggling feelings for two different men, and still feeling responsible for the family she reunited on her arrival in New York. It’s never a dull moment with Ms Murphy. I enjoy that the books are written first-person.

Tammy Will is on page 308 of 416 of First Friends: The Powerful, Unsung (And Unelected) People Who Shaped Our Presidents
This is an absolutely interesting look at close friends of the president, going back to Thomas Jefferson and ending with Bill Clinton.
As is usually the case with books like this, I am taking notes and finding myself wanting to know more about these men who held the highest office in the land.

Tammy Will is on page 128 of 336 of Why We Read: On Bookworms, Libraries, and Just One More Page Before Lights Out
This is such a delightful book! I find myself agreeing so many times with the author about why we read, the barriers we put up to not read, and the guilt we feel for not reading.
Everyone should read this book!

Tammy Will is on page 148 of 368 of The Situation Room: The Inside Story of Presidents in Crisis
If these walls could talk! It might be because there are recording devices. The history of the famous White House Situation Room is expertly told by Mr. Stephanopoulos.
From its beginnings during the Kennedy administration, this small room has held some of the nation’s best kept secrets.
This book is a refresher course on modern American History.
