I'm reading the Blood & Ash/Flesh & Fire series in the order recommended by Ms. Armenteout - excited to fall into this world 😎

Descriptive writing and Cass's sarcastic tone may be lost on others or maybe I'm misreading it. So far I'm guessing this is a family most people love to hate simply out of pure envy.
"The Valmont is a fortress, which means my family is safe & protected, but we're also prisoners" (p. 18). And yet their wealth hasn't protected them against a society that is bloodthirsty to slaughter a villain. My take...

Really liking the storyline although there was a large jump in this chapter that left a bad taste.

I've had this on my Kindle since it came out and cannot believe I had not read it yet! Wonderful descriptive writing, robust characters, and the storyline has grabbed me and pulled me in!

I'm glad I read past the appearance of the golden...one of his best books yet!

So far, a good recap of what everyone's been doing in prior books

The descriptiveness in the writing is almost too much at times. I have no problem visualizing what an author conveys though, and with this book, it's damn real!

Another day without Internet =lots of reading!

loved it and can't wait to read next one!!!
