I wanted a little more about bees themselves, but for a lot out of learning about the difficulty of maintaining the bee population.

Whelp I kind of always thought Buddhism was cool until reading this book. Yep - Buddhism is just another religion with some good stuff and some baggage. I'll stay religion-less thanks very much.
This book puts Buddhism in simple terms, dangling enlightenment in front of you with years (and lifetimes) of work. Not for me.

A trip down memory lane. I read this one in high school. It's a bit slow. We'll see if I like it as much as I used to... sometimes the books of our youth are better left alone.

This book is looooong. I struggle-bussed through the first couple pages, and continually have to just rewind to hear what was said again.

Struggling with this book a bit. Going to see it through as I'm about halfway.

Enjoyed it. It's a bit jumper than you'd think, plot-wise, but it ties together. Some of the characters are a little flat, but the world is amazing. The good hard look at mid-century racism will be eye opening to some.

Enjoyed this way more than I thought I would!

I drive understand if she's psychic or not though... Kind of odd.

Clear characters, surprising plot. The way her back story was meshed into the plot worked, but I tend to like sequential stories a bit more.

Fun series

This is going to be a process, I can tell. Good, but damn, it's a lot of work to read.

UGH I'M SO BORED I DON'T CARE ABOUT ANY OF THE CHARACTERS.

Granchester - Financier. Womanizer. (Caroline Marsh - wife). 33 when power developed. Manufacture chemical compounds in his body, vent them in a mist. Deadly toxin, teargas, no effect, emerges as dark cloud that covers the area. Very rich.

Bishop Alrich - tall, ivory skin dusted with light freckles, angular feature, androgynous, perfect. Blood red hair down to the small of his back, husky growly voice. Polished dress.

BISHOPS: Supervisors of Chequey, aides to heads, based at Apex House.
Bishop Conrad Grandchester - tall, slim in 50's, handsome, wavy black hair, blue-grey eyes - Tendrils of black smoke coming off shoulders. Previous owner of bachelor furniture in residence of Rookery.

Chevalier Major Joshua Eckheart - Chain smoker, thinning blonde hair, hardened look. Tanned, does actual work. Military issue posture, alert eyes. Scars on hands.
Chevalier Heretic Govens - Full head of thick, curly brown hair, no eyebrows, large walrus-style mustache, kind eyes. Very flexible contortionist.
