This book better do a really good job of explaining why it was with Susie freaking Shepherd. After recently rereading the Berg series, Susie is more fresh in my mind than it was before. And my people, really… truly… why would he do that with her? Ugh.

I k ow this book makes me happy, so I’m reading it again so I can cleanse my brain of the last couple of bad books.

Holy crap, I knew it!

Holy smokes. This entire interaction with Somers and Yarmark is so perfect. This guy wants to be a good cop so bad. I’m loving this so much.

This book is stressing me out so much but I can’t stop reading it.

This story is so very good. It’s all happening so quickly and I love that fast pace. I love ridiculous Hazard and his Hazard-isms. I love J-H and his annoying need for people to like him. I love Colt and his teen angst and frustration. I love it all and I’d really love it if everyone would leave me the fuck alone so I can just finish this book. I’m so close!

Emery Hazard, for all of his weirdness, all of his annoying habits and all of the hurtful things he does, is the greatest He’s the best man with the most incredible heart and I love him. He always jumps to conclusions and has speculations, but he will always do what’s right. He always has his heart guiding him to do what’s right. He’s just miraculous.

Not staying up all night to keep reading is so hard. But I need to savor this last one of the series. Too good to rush.

I don’t know what the author was thinking when writing this book but I don’t like it. This is not good and I’m pretty horrified by it.

I know better than to start a KA book this late at night. What’s wrong with me? Can’t put it down.

Damnit! You cannot make me like Dulac. You can’t!

This is seriously stressing me out.

Damn. This book is killing me. My heart can’t take this kind of abuse. These guys are so perfectly bad for each other, and yet so good. They’re such a mess.

I am wheezing, crying, and laughing so hard already. After one chapter. I needed this.

These guys are so disfuncional. Holy cow.

Seriously. I really hate Dulac.

Yup. Dulac just keeps getting more and more on my bad side.

It’s interesting how in the first book I found Dulac to be kind of charming and funny when he picked on Sommers. Now I just find him an asshole and a dickhead. He is very quickly becoming that dude you really hate in a series that won’t go away. I have feelings and thoughts about him…

There is a reason I only read Gregory Ashe’s books sometimes. That reason is everything I just read in chapter 35. Gotta have a very good handle on suspense and murder stories, but you really need to be able to handle horrors that could give you nightmares.

I stayed up way past my bedtime reading this. Should have waited because now I’m wishing I could cut out of work to finish. It’s been a long time since I picked up a book and had to stop reading because my eyes would not focus anymore.

I’ve been trying to read this for about a week? I think it’s been a week. I don’t know, but it feels like I’ve been trying for years. I’m at 5% and I don’t know how to keep going. Im probably just not in the mood, but right now I don’t know that I ever will be. I’ll try again in a day or so.
