I'm having trouble focusing on it. The way it's written is a little strange, no pun intended. I usually don't have a problem with books with made up names and places, but I find myself struggling and tripping over names in this book. Which kicks me out if my rhythm. That's a little bothersome. I tend to find myself putting the book down more than I should.

Lawrence is just awful. This whole book has just been awful. Yuck. I wish I could just give up on books because this one would just be tossed.

This story is making me feel claustrophobic.

I'm so confused. I don't understand why these people would all still be subjected to the rule of the colony. Why is Bellamy hiding in the woods. I wouldn't think the Vice Chancellor would have any standing once they were on Earth.

ugh. just ugh. not a good book for me. a waste of my first week.

Why are all boys in movies or books that go missing always named Ben?

I don't think I'm cultured enough to be reading this.

I don't even know what I'm reading anymore. I don't even understand the plot. Is there even a plot?

First impression: it's like someone is just rambling on a very long run in sentence. The story just goes on and on and on. Sometimes it's like something sort of related is remembered and off on that tangent the story goes until it's remembered that an entirely different story was being told.

I feel like I'm reading and no progress is being made what so ever.

The Ocean is an abusive partner. All I can think is She's shouting, "You make me hurt you!"

Wait, how does she drive from Miami to Maine in one day? and how does she not know that there's about on the ground and she shouldn't be traipsing about in flip-flops and a tank top if she drive so that way. wouldn't you know, oh I don't know, 4 or 5 states back that they were not appropriate attire?

What am I reading?

Does this get better? Please let this get better. It's boring. I can't relate to any of the characters. the story seems disjointed, like there are parts missing. I'm currently giving this two stars.

I'm still slogging through. it's starting to pick up a little bit. Most of the time I just want to drop kick Leisl across the room. She's quite a bit about, really.
