If you have daughters, this book will give you heart palpitations ( & not in a good way).

After starting other books, I have decided that I have too many TBR picks to continue with a cast of characters that I despise.

The book is officially abandoned. Haivning said this, I would like to note that the writing is not bad. I just personally need someone to cheer for.

I really want to finish this one. All the characters are just so horrid. The period in time interests me, the age does as well. I'll take a break for a few days and then see how I feel.

My husband, the EE, loved this book. Me? I can not wait for it to be done.

I love this so much!

I'm trudging through the audiobook. The author has an unusual approach to presenting nonfiction. Her descriptions of the girls and their social interactions feel fictional. The narrator's voice sounds like AI.

I find this book so sad. It's hard for me to read, even with the beautiful prose.

Slowly working my way

So far, I am impressed with Connie's memory for names. It's quite astonishing.

Anyone even contemplating not giving their children the polio vaccine should read a tiny portion of this book. The suffering, chronic pain, and body dysmorphia are heartbreaking.

Hard book to read when you're trying to diet :)

This book is way too long. How can it be so long with very little character development? I'm only invested in Ms. Webber. ) & possibly Fox.
