Her snark is just making incredibly detailed archetypes of people/places/things in SF but holds an air of Brooklynite hipster literary snob who "feels" to justify her moral superiority. I do like that she acknowledges her privilege and her own shortcomings as the shiny offerings of capitalism's productivity captured her as an early 20-something, even though she could have stayed living like an extra from "Girls".
