I've got eighty more pages left. I like the story and Edison, but I seriously want to smack the heroine. This chick flares up like grease on a burner OUT OF NOWHERE. I s**t you not, zero-to-crazy in two sentences or less.

Crap. From the blurb, you know it's going to be a bodice ripper. However, *spoiler* the heroine entered the convent because she was raped. So, the asshole, err, hero, just tried to force her to have sex with him, sending her into flashbacks. I'm not sure I'm going to finish, this is just to messed up. She gets raped, and now this guy tries to rape her?

Holy Funk & Wagnell's. The first vol in this series, the H is a "pocket Venus". now, we've an H who freaks at 8st5lb. She's 117lbs. Is this one a midget too? I love her stories, but Neville is not someone you read thinking you might possibly have SOMETHING in common with the heroine. Damned disappointing.

Self-absorbed twit. I'm hoping this gets better, because right now, this chick is making me want to throw the book across the room.

OK, I went back and checked. On pg 48, Viscount Exeter has a "thick auburn mustache". I checked because on pg 177, he is "clean-shaven except for side whiskers". If the author can't keep her characters strait, how is the reader supposed to?!?!?!

For f*^%'s sake! Please, just once, can a cover artist ACTUALLY PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL?!?! This is getting as annoying as spelling errors and character mixups... The book itself is great so far. The cover artist and whoever approved it need to be fired for sheer stupidity.

I'm fighting to finish this. I love the ladies. But DAMN, this guy is a selfish douche! I'm hoping there is a massive reversal of character, because right now, Alex is jerk. Patience is his only redeeming quality, but he exercises it only because he thinks he'll get his way. Gah!!!!

I'm on ch12. I've got a feeling I've read this book before but didn't mark it? I can see what's coming with the mistress, not sure I'm up for that whole "oblivious jerk let's his wife get treated like crap by his ex-mistress because he's not paying attention" thing. Why do they keep writing that one?

Could you have waited til after pg 100 to start with the tears? I mean seriously, I have been crying most of the time since pg40. A tad ridiculous.

I'd been waiting for this one, and so far it is as absorbing and chilling as the rest of the series!

I'm not sure yet if I'm going to finish this one. The author's doing a good job of teasing out "the family secret", but the dialogue is odd, and one of the female characters is slightly pathetic, to the point that I can't decide if I want to strangle her or put her in therapy. I might stick with it just to figure out what the heck the "secret" is.
