Finding this book rather plodding. Too many bible quotes.

Finishing the opening slow and plodding. Too much information dumping about birth control and women’s views on having babies. It took me away from the main plot line.

I’m finding myself skipping through some of the back story to get to back to this story.

I’m finding it very interesting in parts. I know it’s nonfiction but I want to know more about certain case. It’s sort of unfinished in part. I know you can’t discuss private cases in details but did the young woman with anorexia nervous eat the cake, did she recover or 🤷‍♀️ just lots of unanswered questions.

Finding it interesting. Love the mother and daughter relationships. Found chapter two confusing.

I had to give up on this. I loved every thing about it but the thought of trying to read such a huge book that kept jumping from one character to another without tell the story. I can understand why my son stopped reading and watched the tv series instead. I watched the tv series but wanted to fill in the missing parts. I love the language of the book but the storyline was missing among the description

I love the language of this book. The story is unfolding slowly as the characters are being drawn

Dear heaven this book is driving me nuts. Too much telling and information dumping takes you away from the main plot. Too much repeating of dumped information about drugs, etc.
