This is really doing it for me

I feel like the female audiobook narrator gives Allastar a kind of British accent that the other audiobook narrator does not. It's bothering me.

All I want to do is talk about this book. I'm obsessed with this world.

Ok at 84% they finally mention that the team didn't actually win the championship so didn't go to the World Series. My bad

I'm really enjoying this but if Gavin hit a walk off grand slam to win the AL Championship game and then goes home and fights with his wife ... and two (?) weeks later this book starts, when did he play in the World Series? Did they win? Why is it suddenly Thanksgiving? The timeline is confusing me!!

I love this concept and am enjoying the way it's being told but I'm struggling to carve out time to read this one. Is it because it's actually a mystery (which is not a genre I'm all that interested in)? Is it just not the right time for me to be reading this? Library loan expires in 4 days so wish me luck!

Really interesting world building and story so far but why does the author insist on writing the same scene from two points of view? Dual POV is great but not when it's done like this.

Just really really interested in how this is going to end. I'm alllll about the slow burn so I'm enjoying it so I hope the resolution is satisfying. I'm not sure how it can happen.

Am I ... supposed to be rooting for Jake? I'm kind of confused about what the "main" relationship is here. I don't feel like Daphne and Jake have any chemistry and every time Daphne describes Jake as great and honest and whatever, I keep expecting her to say, but… I'm not attracted to him.

Nothing like Julia Whelan to get you out of a book slump? Main Male Character is meh so far but loving the FMC

I think I would find this book more interesting if it were a dual POV. I know why it's not, obviously, but I feel much more interested in Victor's inner life than Vero's.

I have 8 days to finish this and tbh it's not looking good. I care so little about Nina (my least fave character from Six of Crows) and the Nikolai stuff is so slow going. I wanted to read this to spend more time in the universe but ugh I hope it picks up soon.

This book makes me feel like I've never met a hot person in my life.

Why would a girl who lives in an estate in Summit work at a Blockbuster in Linden? And why would she go to Union High School? And why would all of the girls who work at this Blockbuster in Linden in 1999 AND all the girls that work at the Dairy Creamery 15 years later go to Union High School? Clearly this author doesn't understand how schools work in NJ.

The narrator for Keller sounds like someone from an old timey cop drama which is super annoying.

This has really slowed down for me. About halfway through, I'm wondering if I ever will actually finish it ...

Reading this book when it's 47 degrees out is certainly a choice
