Really liking the book. Not as much as Mr. Mercedes so far, but it’s a good time.

I'm reading these all out of order, it would seem, though it doesn't seem to matter all that much because the characters stand alone without much fuss. I finished The Outsider last, and enjoyed the character of Holly Gibney quite a bit, and then realized the Mr. Mercedes series was one featuring Bill Hodges that she mentioned often and herself. Some spoilers were in The Outsider, but I think I'll still enjoy...

Haven’t updated progress on this book, but thought I had added it in here. So messed up and so good.

Saw the movie and loved it. Hadn’t read the book, and had been meaning to read it, so I got it immediately. Loving it just as much. I’m sure it will be even better.

A very different read in my 40s than it was as a teen. I’m still enjoying it as much, though.

Re-reading for the first time in about 25 years. I love this book series, and I’ve been wanting to re-read for a while. Starting a D&D campaign with my family made me want to dig in again. Such a great adventure.

Very good, so far, through 3 chapters. I wasn't sure about the style at first; took me a few pages to get used to it and Jemisin's approach of telling the story from different standpoints and assuming you knew certain information and then unloading it to you later...she's a master at it, though, and it works for her very quickly. Now, I'm really eating up the pages. There's a great story to be told here.
