You could be going up in a lift with four other people and each one of them had a story as bad as your own to tell. With that kind of weight the lift should be going down. The light at the end of the tunnel was just another dimly lit tunnel.

It has always seemed to me that people vote in a new government not because they actually agree with their politics but just because they want a change. Well, people are stupid, but it all seems to have more to do with mood, caprice, and atmosphere than carefully thought arguments.

You will drive home. It will be winter. You will be older.
