I have to admit... it's pretty good.. I can't believe I'm actually enjoying an overly-hyped YA book, filled with numerous POVs and tropes I'm so tired of, but somehow Aurora Rising pulls it off! I'm impressed! WOW!

The COVERRRRR! SO PRETTY! Let's be fair, this book has a lot of great artists involved with it (google fanart for some characters illustrations).

Not sure how I feel about the numerous narrators (keep changing per chapter, not per character). The story is intriguing despite it being YA orientated. Will see, not hooked yet. I smell clichées..

Still. Nothing. HAPPENING!!!

Repetitions of the same phrases, same sentences, same ideas, the same information for 14 books! I checked Status Updates and everyone seems to be annoyed with the first half of this book (10% more until salvation?) . It's been more than 7 hours of audio material and it's painfully boring. Demonstrably! No book has made me that angry in months! Arghhhhh! I have 25 characters left - Grr!

I'm almost 20% in and I'm starting to wonder why I like this series in the first place... Repetitive phrases and lack of progress aside, I'm trying to get through the most boring expositions ever, trying to memorize details about yet more new characters that will be introduced and cringing at all the cheesy dialogue, while wondering who the 15+ characters talking in one scene were. God, the repetition is killing me.

This. is. so. GOOD! I've forgotten what it feels like to read a book I want to devour in one sitting!
Best part so far - all the characters! Especially the Emo Elf!

I've completely forgotten how cheeky, inexperienced, self-centered and adorable Alex used to be. Anyways, lots of exposition in the first 30%, plus a couple of awesome action scenes and cool divination magic.

God, I love the way divination magic works in this world!

Ok, I'm officially in a Male-lead Urban Fantasy phase!

It's about time I've reread the first book of one of my favorite series, before checking Daniel Faust and giving Harry Dresden a FOURTH chance.

Who is lying?!?! Who is the actual bad guy!?!? For God's sake, the tension is killing me!
Every time I think "hmmm, this book is rather slow and predictable" the author starts playing mind games with me and makes me doubt everything I'm reading! Dammit, can't trust a single character in this universe...

Not sure what I'm getting into, but the narrator's voice and the first 20 minutes sound promising!

An amazing little book!

That's it! Lockwood & Co has been officially moved to my shelf of favorites! Now all I have to do is pick the best looking cover and get a hard-copy...

I am completely mesmerized by these books.There is no magic, no dragons, nothing that I usually am obsessed with, yet, I can't stop thinking about rereading the whole series... although I'm still halfway through the last book.

Gaaagh! I can't stop reading!

It feels so good to be back in this world...and pretty terrifying! I'm not usually a big fan of the horror genre when it comes to books, but ...oh God... Jonathan Stroud makes The Grudge and The Blair Witch Project look like kids' stuff.

Book, you're unpredictable, illogical, weird and kind of all over the place...
I like you.

Did I mention how awesome the descriptions and fighting scenes are, or how detailed and imaginative the world is? Or how the characters, although really stupid at times, are rather cool and I'm growing more and more attached to them?
This will lead to another "fangilry" review I presume...

I am half way through and I already wrote my review. This will be a quick one despite the massive size. Thank God for audiobooks!
