I just finished Wherever the River Runs: How a Forgotten People Renewed My Hope in the Gospel and gave it 5 stars.

Really like this authors writing! His character building is very fleshed out, realistic and yet subtle.

Reading Giants in the Earth, a Saga of the Prairie, by O.E. Rolovaag. Excellent writer, fleshed out characters, Gives a great understanding of how their concept of God, affects how these pioneers deal with harsh realities of life (deprivation, weather, isolation) on the prairies. Emotional reactions so well described, one can identify with various characters. Great historical fiction.

I may get back to this some day, but this seems not the time to read it!

I stopped reading the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society some time ago! Will get back to it later. In the meantime I read if Tomorrow Never Comes, by Marlo Schalesky, and Think Big by Dr Ben Carson, and presently am reading another biography on Dr Carson titled Gifted Hands.
