I’m likely not going to finish this for several years since I haven’t read all the books he lectures on here. Logging this here anyway since I’m reading his lecture on Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary.

This probably should be retitled “a brief criticism of neoliberalism,” but I’m not complaining.

just wanted to note that I’m a bit annoyed that the author refuses to initially give a definition for fascism (fine, he says he will get to it at the end) and yet still keeps using “fascist” as a descriptor as if I’m supposed to know what he means by it (i don’t because again he hasn’t defined it)
