This book is an interesting perspective - I'm used to reading memoirs from camp survivors and Jack & Rochelle escaped the camps but were still in danger as Jewish partisan fighters

I wanted to read this series bc of the upcoming tv show. interesting concept so far!

I am glad this was recommended from the ALA. I'm enjoying it as it's part memoir part look at the world that I've grown up with - though the author has 13 years on me I like the different perspective of what I experienced growing

Starting this book - this is this week's recommendation from the ALA planner. It's going to be interesting because it's purely prose and I'm not always the best with prose.

Ok this has turned into a man dealing with his wife's mental illness. I like it. the switch in stories can be confusing though

I haven't read anything by this author, I'm reading it because it's book 2 as a reading suggestion in my ALA planner. It's somewhat confusing..like he's implying Alger Hiss is his grandfather but he's not so it's kind of a pseudo-memoir.

I really don't feel like I'm the target audience but I'm enjoying it.
