My 4 year old finds this book very amusing. There is one hat, which both tortoises want to wear. They initially decide that no one will wear it, then one of them is tempted …. It is good for teaching empathy and talking about friendship and sharing.

Nice that you can read one chapter at a time and then put it down (and pick it up again later)

Brings textbook events to life in a compelling way

I can't finish this book - it's horribly written, slow, lacks focus, poor narrative, etc.

So far - underwhelming. There are some interesting moments and perspectives on US policies and international conflicts as well as personal relationships among the political elite. Not especially good writing (reads at times like a history text), not very personable. We'll see.

I cannot imagine where the main character is going to end up . . . .

There's no real storyline to keep me interested in reading, but the different character studies and writing styles are each intriguing.

It's a dense read, totally for science nerds or enthusiasts. He makes complex scientific facts/concepts sound accessible.

The brain is made of magic!

The characters finally started getting more interesting/less like caricatures.

The novel within the novel parts are getting tedious
