Such a differnt voice, I can see why Nicholson would use a pseudonym. I'm really enjoying the story and hope this story continues as a series. The relationship between Crystal and Bone is very authentic.

I've learned I enjoy drawing these out, I remember books better the longer I give them. With Nicholson's writing, I want to give the story my full attention. No more competition or racing through to complete challenges, it is an insult to the book.

it's not nice to make the reader cry on the first story. awesome writing, but not nice.

Nicholson is brilliant. Don't judge the book by it's cover. Thus far I still don't get the cover image at all, yet somehow I like the dissonance.

There is a certain style, a flair to Nicholson's writing. It feels sort of like Neil Gaiman and Stephen King were intertwined into one mind. He doesn't flinch. No matter how bad the situation. He writes true and honest, no sugar coating.

thoroughly enjoying this book. taking my time to really savor it.

It's raw, but I like this book. Definitely an author I plan to watch.

Automatic star for the Damon Salvatore reference. Could have done without the prologue, it really slows down the story.

It was so horrible, I quit. Maybe one day i will sludge through this, but not now. I have 300+ books that beckon me. My challenge for beards will now be Dark Pleasures (Christie Silvers). Show some love for the Goodread authors, you know.

If I wasn't reading this as a challenge, I would give up. This is truly horrible. It drops more names than a Hollywood tabloid.

This is nothing like Andrew Loyd Webbers, so sad. Meg is snotty, Raol is a stalker, the Phantom doesn't wear a mask, and Christine.... She could be a phantom. It's written like an investigative journalist story, so not nearly as interesting as I had hoped.

Yeah...it's taking me a while to get through this. I know the point is to make them vapid and ridiculous so we get how horrible it is to have your brain manipulated. But I just haven't been able to get excited about this book.

I like this book so far. Looking forward to Pretties.
