As much as I enjoy these books and spending time with the people of Ashland, the author needs to stop dragging out this thing with Jules and Carlos. Either they figure it out or they split. It is annoying and tiresome. It also irks me that so many recipes are "signature" recipes. A signature recipe is supposed to be something special that you/restaurant is known for.

So, we have a child who is apparently a techy genius yet just learned how to use the microwave. A 30+ year old woman who knows all kinds of useless information about a multitude of subjects yet can't figure out how to work a phone. And why does Hannah print a new copy of a recipe every time she uses it?

I don't know why I bothered picking up this book when I knew it was going me. Putting aside the normal Norman/Mike garbage and the need to explain EVERYTHING, if Hannah is out on bail how was she allowed to go to Las Vegas. Also, since when is it okay for a lawyer to bring the presiding judge a cup of coffee, let alone food from the defendant? Grrr...

Prognosis not looking good for my continuing with this series. Not even halfway and the only thing keeping me from removing this from my nook in disgust is I hate to leave a book unfinished. Maybe it's because the last couple of books have made me start to rethink my loyalty to this series but everything in this book seems to be annoying me!

I said after the last book I wasn't sure if I would read another. If things don't improve in this one it will be my last Hannah Swensen (at this point things are NOT looking good). I really enjoyed this series in the beginning too.

Not sure if enjoy is the right word but the book is definitely holding my interest.

Think I figured out the murder mystery...secondary "mystery" I am still working on.
