Recommended to fans of Iain Reid, Jeff VanderMeer AND Mona Awad???!!???!?!? If this book does not completely blow me away and/or change the course of my life, then What Will.

Ohh this is Very Good so far. Just have to get past the mental barrier that is this book's length (my edition is a little over 1000 pages lol).

Rereading this because 1) I've wanted to reread it since the moment I finished it the first time and 2) the Succession finale has left me feeling weirdly sad? a little devastated? and I need something funny.

Genuinely so nervous and excited about reading this!!! Read Annihilation for the first time almost 4 yrs ago, which is now an Absolute Favourite, and been putting off the rest of the series because of how divise the reviews are. Anyway I'm finally doing it!! Trying to keep expectations low but this is Jeff VanderMeer, so that's proving difficult lol

I'm in a weird spot, because the writing, worldbuilding and characters in this are absolutely living up to my high expectations, but for some reason even the thought of picking up the book makes me ... weary? Wondering if I should give up for now and put it on hold rip 😔

I've read the HP series a dozen times, but I feel like I haven't really appreciated all of it until this time? Quite disappointed that I've reached the last book already lol – I'm looking forward to my next reread of the series
