If you know of any good books about the history of Spain under Franco I am interested. Thank you.

I am listening to the book. I rarely do audiobooks but I must say that Kate Rudd as the narrator does a really good job.

I didn't read the second Haven's Rock book so I am missing some of it. but it is still a standalone as far as the story is concerned. Lots happening.

Back to good old classics. This is one of Agatha Christie that I had not read. 10 people stuck on an island. What can go wrong? I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Captivating book. The foot binding parts are hard to swallow.

Apparently a favourite of Barack Obama. The story of a young lady escaping abuse and starvation in a fort under siege from the Powhatan tribes. She endeavours to flee north towards Canada through wilderness with a knife, a hatchet, a cup and flint. Riveting, once you get used to the author’s writing style.

I am rather addicted to this series. I really like the interaction between Comoran Strike and Robin Ellacourt.
This book gives more details about Cormoran and Robin’s pasts.

I liked Eon Bhutan I am not sure I like Eona at all. I was hoping for a heroine who would be a bit more unique but she is not. I am not sure I’ll be able to finish the book.

I am enjoying the story. I had to get used to the narrator though. I like the voices he has for the characters but I am not really fond of his voice when reading the text. However the story is good, after a bit of a slow start and I am enjoying it. I like detective Kaga, his humanism, his decency, his tenacity.

May 21: the book is a bit dull. While the history of Japan at the turn of the 19th century is fascinating, the life of Tsuneno is anything but.
Now that she has reached Edo, maybe this will change.
