An important story, told well. The book highlights not just the slide of the central protagonists past any semblance of legality, but the failure of an entire ecosystem of bankers, investors, and auditors who should have known better, but were too compromised and conflicted to object. Like *The Big Short*, this book teaches us that large institutions are no less likely to be swept up in delusion than their peers.
