This took me ages to read. The middle slowed me right down but the ending was so engrossing that I missed a stop on the dlr and had to turn back! I love this author’s brain so much. This is like a sci-fi / thriller. Looking forward to more of his stuff.

Beautiful and bloody with a smidgen of spirits. Some tough moments to read through.

I’m so nervous to start this book. I adore Theo and this book printed in 2010 is the last of the series. Please don’t make me cry!

30 pages in and the protagonist is excited at the prospect of harvesting some solid cat urine

700 out of 1800 pages in. All foreshadowing, politics and a powerless protagonist so far. Gritting my teeth and continuing on

Skull crushingly tough to get through. Sublime purpose punctuated by angry men slaughtering and smashing stuff. Rivers of blood and all that barbarian good stuff
