This book has every single cliche and trope you can squeeze into a story. We have a love triangle between the antagonist and protagonist, an old vendetta that sets up the violent ending, the wise old guy that is the only one that can understand things, political intrigue and megalomania, family drama and angry children, etc, etc, etc. I already know how this ends and I'm bored.
