It’s so hard to read Charlie go through this journey of self healing and growth. Because it’s not linear. There is always an ebb and flow to healing and self love that can as much relieve as it haunts you. Falling back into old habits is so comforting and easy, and can be deceptively healthy when keeping the status quo. I’m hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel for Charlie.

Part One has drawn to a conclusion and ended in a cautiously optimistic note. Charlie has room to grow and heal in a new and hopefully safe environment. Fingers crossed on Mikey and his intentions. Everyone has truly been supportive of Charlie and want to help in whatever way they can. I hope that she can accept that help and begin the healing process.

I picked this book up yesterday from the bookstore. The first page had me in such a grip I just had to buy it. From the few pages I’ve read so far, this book has shown such a raw portrayal of self harm and the helplessness of being soul crushingly hurt. It’s like I’m on this journey with her.

It’s been a while since I’ve dived into a sci-fi and wow if this book isn’t giving me all kinds of life.

Man I thought the reviews were kidding but this book is pretty slow, even for me, who loves a good slow burn development of plot and relationships. Not much has happened besides laying the groundwork for why this place is spooky and dangerous, and I’m getting tired of seeing how all the students blow her off

Finally caught up to where I had left off this book. It had been too long since I tried to read this book. I don’t even know why I stopped lol

I should have realized there would be scenes from the book that never made it to the movie. Or even scenes that had been changed to fit into a more movie audience driven plot. Having read some now, I can see that’s a real shame.
