So, essentially we are in a new Cold War with Russia, except a startlingly large number of Americans in the U.S. are actually supporting Russia or Russian propaganda.

Reading on Hoopla.

Started this on audio book, but I really didn’t like the way it was read, it sounded like a digital or computer generated voice, but apparently it’s not. Now trying to read it as an e book.

I never do this, but there are so many new books to read that I’m really anxious to read, that I’m putting this one down, returning it to the library. I think it would be a solid 3 star book, and maybe it would get better, but so far, it’s just not for me. The one thing that has turned me off so far is the vocabulary. There are quite a few obscure words that I vaguely know, but is it necessary? No.

I read 180 pages in the first day I opened it. I made myself put it down at midnight bc I had to be up at 4:45 am to run a half marathon. Worth it.

Another book for work. This book is the upper elementary book selection for the Global Read Aloud in October/November. I think Krista read and liked one of the author’s previous books. So far I like it.

So far I love this book. I was reflecting that the last two adult books I read in physical book form, were very feminist, fight the patriarchy books. Then I realized both books came from woman owned bookstore recommendations in DM.

Another book for work over spring break. Trying to get a few different genres covered.

Reading for work during spring break. Finding some books to recommend to the 4/5th graders.

As someone who is a total rule follower, this book is stressing me out.

I’m stalled out b/c it makes me so angry.

I like this one so much more than The Dark Monk.
