This series misses being great because you have a seriously reckless protagonist who puts others at risk constantly. It’s not in a flawed or cute or even immature way. Daisy is written so maturely that when she makes terrible decisions (see the pirates in book one, the wrong bookseller in this book, and hopping in the van in book three) it’s purely selfish. I’ll be happy to finish with this series.

What has happened to Nora Roberts?! I'm used to her having at LEAST one knockout romantic suspense a year. The rest of her frilly books I stay far away from, but these last two romantic suspense ones have fallen flat for me...

Dear Joe, Karen is way better than Beck. Ditch that bitch! And yes, I am giving advice to the murderer. He's just that likeable. He's like Dexter. And who doesn't love Dexter?!

Joe is like the guilty pleasure that I'm not guilty about. He points out everything wrong in the world that people think about but never actually say, AND he's a book lover!

I find myself reminiscing about Catcher in the Rye as I listen to this book. Joe reminds me a little bit of Holden which reminds me a little bit of myself. The only thing about Joe is that I actually like him and I thought Holden was a bit of a prick.

Best narrator ever!

Creighton is one of Sandra Brown's BEST characterizations! She is nailing this book!
