My first time trying horror, let’s see.

Lowkey excited to have a book first

This book is amusing in an odd way. I honestly don’t know why it makes me laugh.

76% in and no romance has started yet, it’s quite interesting. The fmc is such a ki, I like her. I truly never know what she will do next.

I will say, the ubiquitous use of exclamation marks is….interesting, for lack of a better word. I don’t hate it but I also wonder why the author is so in love with the punctuation mark.

There is a Netflix series called The Beast In Me, and in that series they speak of something called bloodlust. It’s described as the character’s need to see somoene suffer for a wrong done.

Not to be morbid, but oh HOW this series satisfies my bloodlust. I feel gorged, greedy, fat. I have always loved a revenge storyline and this gives me 10 concurrent ones in an extreme fashion. It’s absolutely delightful.

This book is long as hell and so far we have been in a tunnel of misery with no light at the end. Endless darkness, we might as well be in stasis (see what I did there;))

This is the third consecutive “bad” book I’ve picked up. What is going on? The writing of this book is extremely dense, getting through a paragraph is such an ordeal. Only on chapter 6 and I feel maxed out

I don’t like scientific fantasy, like this book. I like magic, wonder etc. So this isn’t going it for me.

I really really don’t like dystopian novels.

I suspected I wouldn't find this book as enjoyable as the first simply because it's Geography and I was right. I find myself skipping paragraphs speaking about the lay of the magic land. And while the author's writing does help a lot because it is very fun, I don't think there is a writing style "fun" enough to make geography interesting. I am fatigued and the romance is taking too long to become apparent.

This writing is extremely fun, I'm having a grand time. And oh, to be desired so wholly like Beth. Experiecing major FOMO right now.
