Started started this is more than 10 years ago; started reading again from the beginning

The book I just finished with characters I will never forget has changed my perspective; this book is composed of superficial characters and inane drivel for conversation. Words like lust, breasts, burnished, passion, rippling, bulging make me feel like I’m reading a Harlequin romance novel; I can picture the cover – – – a woman in the throes of passionate embrace with a shirtless man with rippling muscles.

One of the only books I’ve never been able to finish; too heartbreaking, too bloody

Not sure im going to be able to get through this—how depressing!

Slow! 50% of the book and most has been descriptions of people going thru doors, getting out of cars, dialogue, very little action

Starting back on it —will prob have to start from beginning!
