It's so hard to read...

This is so uncomfortable to read, the relationship between Louise and Mark...

It's silly, but also annoying - it keeps mentioning the ocean. Everything happens in Britain... What ocean are we talking about? The FMC's mum says "stay away from la mer", and the FMC repeats "the ocean"... ffs. La mer is "sea" in French, if they haven't changed the meaning *facepalm*

I'm one third in, and the insta-lust makes me 🤢🤢🤢 and the characters are not teenagers...
It's one of these books that I should dnf, if I'm completely honest, or just never mark it as "read" here, because I already know I'm going to give it a low rating...

Crazy, even the audiobooks are a mess - the continuity is gone, characters suddenly have other names (different pronunciation), words are different. It's quite annoying.

Well, it's just inertia at this point... I'm finishing the Fever series only because I get attached to characters, and I need this comfort of familiar faces, but man, they are not the same... after that I'm going to pretend books 6 to whatever just don't exist. It's 1 to 5 for me. It's all the story needs. It's finished, done. The rest is a mess.

I'm losing my patience... I definitely didn't choose to read this book for some teenage stupidity. it's even worse - Dani is in a place where she shouldn't touch anything, but opens a bottle, and then blames Christian for not EXPLAINING to her that she shouldn't have done that. And she's not a toddler, she's a 14-year-old who knows how dangerous fae things are. Something's not right about it.

Intriguing. And spooky. There was a moment when I felt uncomfortable "eavesdropping" on Rachel and Finn, when they were fighting, and I guess it means the scene was quite realistic... very curious to see where it all goes.

It's supposed to be funny, I understand, but why do I want to slap Vera Wong?..

Okay, so from this conversation in the cafe I understand that Pen is not just "not into kink", she wants to sleep with other people, so the rest sounds like excuses, almost "it's not you, it's me", "I don't want to hold you back", "it's for your own good, I want you to be happy..."
Imagine a man saying this to his gf. Not so cool, huh.

I don't "want to read" this, but I'm readings this. It's this case of wanting to read something light and fluffy, but I feel like I'm losing braincells... we'll see if I survive.

The way Harmony talks about Daniel in this book 😅 "Typical sociopath occultist", okay...

Nervous to start this - the first book was so complicated for me to follow... was better on reread, I just hope there aren't too many new characters and locations here 😖

I don't like it...
It reads like the MCs are so much younger than they are :/
We're constantly reminded they have such "great chemistry", the author actually uses these exact words (instead of showing?), it is mentioned several times they make such a great team, they are so great together because they always talk... so why did they break up? And why is the misunderstanding as they don't talk through their feelings?

Oh, sh-t, I wasn't ready for the ritual 🤢🤢 annoying to listen to, easier to read this part with the eyes.

either I'm jaded, or this scene by the fire in the woods is pretentious.
"Because we are women". Maybe that's an integral part of the genre/ witch theme, but oh how old and overused :/

Me reading this book: "that's the worst moment of it..."
Me five minutes later: "THIS moment is even worse!.."
So much wrong with these people, this story 😖

I call BS. No self-respecting musician would let him/ herself play on an out of tune guitar. It's not a piano, ffs, someone who plays can tune a guitar for a song no problem. Professional musicians do it during concerts between pieces 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ and here the MC is asked to sing n play at a bar, for her friends... 🙄

This reads like it was written in the early 2000's 🤔😑

I'm on chapter 6 and I don't think I like it. Parts of it are too serious to be a good parody, the "modern" jokes seem out of place. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I smirked as I opened the door. “After you, Kitten.” As she walked through, I landed a nice swat on her behind that caused her to jump and spin around.
