Captain Wester is far and above my favorite character. Best comedic relief I've seen in a minute.

Well, I was very wrong about the sapphic vibes. 😅

I've had a couple moments of getting sapphic vibes but I'm almost certain that wasn't the intention. Oh well, it's real in my brain. 😆

I'm mad at myself for putting this book off for so long. Loving it and the menagerie of characters.

I started reading this maybe a year ago (Maybe more. Shhhh. ) and wasn't feeling it 50 pages in. Didn't DNF because Schwab is one of my favorite authors so I elected to come back to it later. Well, I just pulled this title randomly from my TBR jar so...here we go again!

I am 77% in to this book that I have already found to be quite boring, but now the sudden obsession with bowel movements, farts, and peeing has me about to DNF.
And the sex scenes are SO unsexy. I've got the ick real bad.

I'm really enjoying this so far but I need the narrator to lay off the early 2000's nu-metal bands.😆 Slipknot and Korn, my loves.

I have high hopes for this. The clerk at the bookstore when I bought this said this book changed them as a person. Turns out my brain is focusing too much on so many words being capitalized, and I have to pause slightly and emphasize Each and Every One, which is making it hard for me to process what I'm reading. Why must I be like this?

Kind of sad I put off reading this for so long because I am loving it.

Is a love triangle being hinted at? I really did not expect that. Something feels very off about it though...

Euggh... the ick might be too strong for me on this one, and I have read some weird shit in my day. Something is rubbing me the wrong way.

I don't know if I've ever been this close to finishing a book and just now thinking of DNFing.
I gotta push through at this point.

I'm disappointed in the amount of spelling errors. This book deserves better editing than this.

I just don't do well with the lyrical type of writing. It's beautiful but I often find myself having no idea what is happening. I feel I would have loved this story if it was written differently.

This was released in 2014. It's wild how much this has 2020 pandemic vibes. Obviously on a much bigger and exaggerated scale but still...life really does imitate art.

Update to say, this got a lot better. To think I almost let the first impression of a side character ruin this for me.

Ooof. I don't know. This book is already off to a bit of a rocky start. Is my streak of 5 star books stopping here? Too early to say but ehhh...

Oh, I am really enjoying this. Been a while since I've read a book that kept me up late because I just wanted to keep reading. A pleasant surprise.

I can't tell if I like this or hate this. I definitely hate the characters that are so over-the-top annoying but I am so curious about the intertwining stories

Ooof. DNF at page 5. I don't think I have ever called it quits so early into a book. I just knew I wasn't going to like the main character and I'm not willing to give her a chance.

This is so charming. I am eating it up.
