pretty good so far, i’m learning a lot about listening, empathy and how to put myself in other’s shoes

I love Melanie’s style. It’s very engaging and keeps me wanting more.

So far, I like how descriptive Pat's writing is. Her use of symbolism to portray the characters inner conflict is impressive.

I have read the introductory and first chapter.

It’s good. One thing I’m recognizing is that I haven’t put a lot of thought into software design in the past. I should moving forward.

Every large system will inevitably become complex. When they complexity is not properly managed, it leads to bugs which slows down development and wastes money.

Software complexity can thus be managed by using simpler designs.

😞prostitution is just all round evil

Prostitution is not pretty. So far, I’ve learned how demeaning, degrading, abusive, for the women involved in the process.

I can’t understand how such a vice has been allowed to continue in modern society.

The history is bit of a sludge to go though but an informative read nonetheless. Can’t wait to start the third chapter

It’s heart wrenching learning about what women go through in prostitution. I wouldn’t have known all of this without reading it.

And my conclusion is that prostitution cannot just be work. The exploitation, degradation and emotional turmoil it causes women is horrible.

I’m learning to think better about types and how to use them appropriately.

Some of my Favourite sections include the chapters on type widening and narrowing, understanding types as set and creating types that represent valid states.
