Bits of wisdom and insight are buried in this whirl of smut. Bukowski does a wonderful job presenting a simplistic and edgy-humored verisimilitude.

Hemingway's unique voice and masterful style in this work of non-fiction lend themselves to episodic and picturesque adventures with light symbolism and heavy characterisation that are on level with his works of fiction in this account of big game hunting and some of Hemingway's thoughts on writing, literature, and life.

This is a fun and fast read that takes the reader on a romp through a world of magic and tongue-and-cheek humor. I bought this book after meeting Bob Dixon at one of his recent book signings. The tone of the book matches the author's personality in that it is welcoming, easy going, and a bit odd in a good way.

The only problem with this book is that Steinbeck never finished writing it.
