I'm not sure if it's me or this book, but it's unnecessarily difficult to read. Do people from the south in the US use a different syntax from everyone else? Or is this just written weird?

Palestine didn't fucking exist when Jesus died. What the fuck do you mean he died in Palestine. Say fucking Jerusalem and spare me the activist BS. The Romans (who were in control of the territory back then) renamed Judea as Syria Palestina as a fuck you to the Jews. They were antisemitic, just like lots of people today. The word "Palestina" even comes from the Greek "Philistia" it's not even of Arabic origin.

So... when does the 💩 hit the fan? This girl sensing magic is very obviously unusual and important, but nothing has happened yet and we're dancing around that and so many other things. Also, I have to keep reminding myself she's supposed to be 24 cause to me she reads 18ish.
