The main character needs a minder, the story is a mess and the ending makes no sense.
There are a few original and clever bits but those get snowed under the rest of the mess.

Don't know what to think yet, while he makes good points, the author is obnoxious.

It's amazing how many simularities completely different lives can have.

Again one of the randomly found audiobooks for walking with.
The author is my new spirit animal.
When I'm done with this book, chances are I'm going to hunt down everything else he wrote as well.

Why did I start reading this book?
I have no idea, it seemed like a good idea at the time since I have to brush up my Russian and it came up in the audiobook search I did.
Did not expect to like it as much as I did, and had no idea it was based on a specific game.
Did spot references to other games (I think)
It's fun and granted a bit brainless, but at least it's doing positive things to my Russian slang repository

Very fun read.
But hard going when it actually comes to issues which (to me) matter like friends and family.

So far the book is droning on.
I've reread the same claim three times since the introduction and none of the actual information the claim promises.
Who knows? Maybe it will turn up eventually.

Not sure what the point is.
A lot of repetition, a lot of Eastern religion despite saying there wouldn't be any religion.

What does annoy me about the book is its messiness, there is a red thread (sort of) but otherwise it's just a mostly random collection of anecdotes.
Anecdotes are not bad, randomness is not bad, it's just that I expected something different.

It's funny, but I've lost track of what the original point when Sigfried and Roy got mentioned.

Quite unexpected and fascinating as usual.

This is one of those mythical books you can barely get your hands on. Found an audio book version, which is not quite adequate and read out in a weird woman's voice with errors and notes of page numbers.
Not what I'm used to...
Still glad I've found it as I've been trying to piece together the whole Lazarus Long saga for a while now.

Disturbing

Somehow this isn't as horrible as it sounded 15 years ago.
Reading, snickering, and patting myself on the back for lack of that kind of drama in life.

Some cheap shots here and here but on the whole logical and reasonable.

I swore I'd never read this book again.
So, here I am reading this damn book again.
This time it's funny and a bit of a relief that I don't have similar drama or concerns in my own life.
What a difference a decade or so can make.

As obnoxious as the first, strangely apt to the current situation though.
Considering the age of this thing, this is depressing.

George Carlin was fun, and then I listened to this...

Not really a book you can work through in one go.

Never really gotten around to reading it, not listening to it the book seems to be random verbal diarrhea. Don't get me wrong, it's amusing, but it you have to do the punchline jingle...you aren't that sure of yourself or how funny you are.

Far more interesting than the movie I've been familiar with for years.
Somewhat Lord of the Flies with adults.

Different ending from the movie, well somewhat.
Keeping the male perspective in mind, all considered I like this one better.
