I was going to wait for my physical copy before reading, but I couldn’t wait anymore so ebook it is. I’ve just read through books 2-5. I will read this first then go for my second reading of The Long Game.

A little over half the book, and I feel like nothing has really happened yet.

Four chapters in and I am already annoyed by the main character. She is just so whiny. Does not bode well for me liking the book.

There’s just something about this series that is really vibing with me.

Part one done and it is fantastic

Loving this. I was charmed. Might need to purchase the rest of the series.

For a book called Problematic Summer Romance, I was expecting something more problematic and taboo. So far it’s just kinda bland.

It’s *whisper* kind of boring.

I’m finding the sequences in the past a lot more interesting than the present. There’s just no tension.

I’ve read the rest of the Witcher series and didn’t particularly like them, and this new prequel isn’t really changing my mind. The only reason I own and am reading this is because it was forced on me by a subscription (The Broken Binding’s new SF&F sub).

It’s reminding me of Marie Lu’s Legend and Kate Dylan’s Mindwalker

I think I am liking this better now than on first reading. No idea why.

Rereading so I can read the eARC of book 2

At the age of 35, I am reading my first locally published book that isn’t for school.

Pains me to say it, but this is a filler installment. Nothing is really happening.

It’s a third through the book and I feel like nothing has happened.

This is a goddamn confusing book. All these positive reviews must be from readers who are okay with such a messy story.

I’m really unsure about this. It’s mostly just vibes. I keep waiting for something to happen.

Spectacular. I’m pretty sure I’ve read Sixth of the Dusk from Arcanum Unbounded but I do not remember it at all.

I’m not really liking it all that much.

This is such a downer of a book. I don’t know if I want to carry on.
