Wait! When did Goodreads start implementing half and quarter star ratings??

Oh boy, I don't know. "And it's not just his height. It's his breadth too, with shoulders that would make a lineman from a professional football team jealous.... Huge. Immense. Enormous. Substantial. I swallow past the lump in my throat and push my gaze up. Yeah, no. His face is not an opposite from his body." That last line: HE GOT A BIG FACE. I am not going to be able to take him seriously now as a love interest.

As a bookmobile librarian, I feel a certain amount of obligation to eventually read all books about bookmobiles.....even if I don't normally read those genres.

I could tell from about the first three sentences that I am going to love this book.

A character was described as having "Ned Flanders' hair and Ron Swanson's body"......Doesn't Ron Swanson also have Ned Flanders hair? So the character just looks like...Ron Swanson?

Throughout this book, I've said "This is a stupid plan" more times than I can count. Only finishing this because it's so short, I'm reading on audio, and I'll read just about any wilderness-type thriller.

*unimpressed sigh* Ok, for a murder mystery, this is getting to be pretty far into the book without a murder yet.

"If you hear a horrible sound on the woods and you don't know what it is, it's probably a fox."

Accurate.

Interesting switch from past tense to present tense...

"So much for the old fashioned way-- and if hunting someone down with a dinosaur isn't old fashioned I don't know what is."

This sentence hurt me so much as an elder millennial. :(

"Ain't no kill like overkill."

Finished this book on audio earlier today, and promptly started it over again.
