*unimpressed sigh* Ok, for a murder mystery, this is getting to be pretty far into the book without a murder yet.

Finished this book on audio earlier today, and promptly started it over again.

"...a small room the color of soap scum." Huh?

"...and his skin had gone the color of chewed nails." What does that even mean?

"It was the turning point of the year, too late to be called summer and not yet cold enough for winter..." FFS, just says that it's autumn.

"That is horrifying and I want to go home," I said, although I pronounced it, "Ah. I see."
