I can’t wait for this thing to be over. I don’t feel any tension or desire to know what happens. There’s not an antagonist or clear problem to resolve other than vague stuff happening around the kingdom. There’s also too much narration and not enough dialogue for me.

So far literally nothing has happened worth mentioning at all except Mazrim Taim showed up to help Rand. We mostly read Nynaeve and Elayne complain about doing nothing. Elayne encounters a rogue nightmare in Tel'aran'rhiod but it doesn't have any impact on the story at all. It is pointless action. So far this has been the slowest book I've ever read.
