Nanda devi is on page 140 of 183 of A Wizard of Earthsea (Earthsea Cycle, #1)

Re-reading this for a book discussion and its hopeful, hallowing and paralising at the same time.

Love this book 😭 It's got everything I want: linguistics, ancient history, archeology, womens part of history and instructions on old techniques. Ugh ❤️

Nanda devi is on page 227 of 512 of I, Phoolan Devi: The Autobiography of India's Bandit Queen
My parents let me read this book maybe a bit too young, but maybe it was good to learn at 11 that girls my age all over the world have a very different life and had very different experiences. I've been re-reading this book all my life, over and over again; everytime there's new insights. It gets more terrible the older I get, but I don't think I'll ever stop reading it.

Already opened wikipedia 4 times for these first 27 pages, hah. Definitely dense in information and throws around terms like 'Chávismo', 'Neo-Marcyites' and 'Mandelite Fourth International' like I know what that means, haha. Interesting though.

Pretty wholesome, all kinds of animals helping each other, haha. Curious how he's going to argue for anarchism through this though :j

Very interesting. Though very focussed on the US, it is still a very interesting read. A history of suffrage, slavery and class-struggle in the United States. Curious for her thoughts about more recent history, hopefully further into the book

Marx; great thinker, terrible writer. Better to read this than to ever attempt Kapital though, haha.

Taking my sweet time with this book. Luckily it’s easy to pick up again, every chapter is readable on its own :) It’s interesting and beautiful, but not a book to read for easy entertainment or anything(though no one expected that of course, haha). Interesting views on women, growth and relationships through ancient myths and stories.

Rereading this book that I read last about 10 years ago, and found it quite horrible. Gave it 3 stars back then, probably because I didnt dare to give such a classic less than that, haha. Curious if I like it any better now.
