I cannot stand books that pit women against each other, especially when they’re sisters or as good as. This book (and the southern bookclubs guide to slaying vampires) is doing just that and it’s pissing me off. I got this as a NetGalley ARC and I still haven’t finished it. I might come back to this but for now, I need to move on.

Frail and meek 19yo mfc gets called “good girl” by big, strong, older (30ish) mmc and all I can do is say “ew”…I’m not having a good time. 1/3 of the way through. The guys finally dead but it felt kind of anticlimactic, felt like she found out he was dead kind of late but maybe that’s because the authors writing is very poetic, not a bad thing just timing seems to feel odd.

I’m feeling stuck with this, I hate the weird second person perspective, don’t know if I’ve ever read a book like this let alone listened to one but I wanna know what happens so I gotta keep on keeping on.
