This is definitely different than books I've read before. So far, so good. I was challenged to read a "historical fantasy fiction," and I wanted to find something I'd never heard of.

I pause here just to chuckle and say I've missed Emily Henry's fun writing. I've read five of her other novels, but it's been awhile. She writes great banter between characters who are witty and sarcastic in the best ways. I'm glad I chose this one today. :)

Okay, so I did some speed reading over the boring parts (speed reading is not something I enjoy), but I FINALLY got another piece of the puzzle. I think I'll be fine waiting for awhile before I read the third one...if I read the third one. :/

It's not a good sign when I can't stay awake to read...in the middle of the day. This story is dragging out too long. I'm having to read too much about day-to-day life and events that aren't interesting or relevant to the main plot. I'll give it a little longer and hope it picks back up.
