Bletchley Park…with dragons. An interesting little alternate/fantasy history so far. We’ll see how this goes, I went into this one blind. But it’s pool season and outdoor, so I’m burning through audiobooks while I clean the pool and work on my gardening and landscaping.

Why am I doing this to myself? It’s like a train wreck.

I am so confused.

A contemporary YA murder mystery with a poc protagonist that isn't set in the western world (it's set in Kenya)?! This book is a breath of fresh air so far.

Listening to this one, technically.

And now I'm stopped, because my library ebook loan expired on me...So I've got to wait till the people ahead of me in the holds list finish. Really fascinating so far though! Miffed I got interrupted.

This book...ugh. The main character's story could be considered harrowing and heartbreaking, if it weren't do to the fact that all this misfortune is entirely of her own making. She's a complete idiot. It just keeps getting worse.

Eh...just not feeling this one. It has so many great reviews but I'm just feeling annoyed right now. The end is near, fortunately.

And the award for most unlikeable main character with a strange name goes to...Eadlyn! Seriously though. This girl is so unnecessarily mean/spoiled/bratty/cold. And what is with the names. There were some weird names in the other books but these are weirder.

"Hey we can't fix all the crap going on in or country so we will just marry off our daughter for, you know, morale and stuff. I mean, she gets to pick right? So we are definitely not using our teenage daughter as a pawn/distraction for our own inept rule!" I really don't know what I expected.

Really, really fascinating so far.

While I wasn't too captivated by book 1, Dualed, this one seems promising so far...
