I hate when men in books go “i’ve never met a woman who asks so many questions” like that s a fantasy trait for a woman🙄 having an opinion or a curiosity.

So Odessa wasn t allowed to bring a luggage while travelling through the forest cause of obvious reasons yet her tent, her CAMPING tent, had a whole bathtub😭. WHO CARRIED THAT BATHTUB? Did they just built it in like half an hour from wood???

I’m very unimpressed so far. Our main character is sad at first cause she can t be queen but then oportunity presents and now she s sad that she HAS to be queen.

With a man like Jeremy, I would too, perhaps become mentally deranged🤣 jk…maybe

Im praying this book will have a good plot twist and it s not verity who in fact murdered her kids. Im also praying that it won t turn out that the main character is actually the evil one. That would also be boring.

Does this book want me to hate Warner?

Ok but i feel like a warner pov is so useless and boring right now. We all love him but he s already had his five minutes of fame in all the shatter me series. I only want james and rosa pov right now.

The begining is too similar to the intruder with the past-present switch and the murderous children. I hope it gets better

Even though the concept of this book reminds me a little bit too much of Caraval, the plot seems to go in another direction which is good. I also do enjoy a good “hot and mysterious ghost” trope that seems to be going on here.

Well, it seems like I’m reading gothic Caraval 😂 we shall see how this goes

Ok, so. The writing is slightly better than shatter me, which is great. Also I do enjoy the way the dystopian world expanded aince the last book. All that technology advance on ark island is really cool, ngl. Tbh I expected worse and I’m pleasantly surprised by this book.

I kind of like how it starts. Also James feels a lot like Kenji when it comes to personality so I guess that s nice but I hope he has his own personality traits as well.

The scariest thing about this book is how bad it is (help me)

Okay so. The guy is cute but why is he already head over heels for our main character? What happened to good old slowburn? Also WHY DOES NO ONE IN THIS BOOK HAVE AT LEAST A TINY TRAUMA? the characters are so flat. No personality at all. Still enjoying the ghost hunt though👀

Our main character doesn t seem to have a tragic past from which she ran away and moved to that haunted small town, she just did it because houses were cheap there? I mean, mood. But that upsets me. No murderer chasing her? No traumas haunting her at night? How is she the main character then?? Maybe im wrong though (i hope so)

Why am I enjoying this so much

1. I am really confused about the time. I’m 200 pages in and everything that has happened was in a span of a few hours? 2. I think Cyrus’s love for Alizeh is delusional and not at all sweet because it’s “aaron warner” delulu all over again. First time it was fine, now it’s a little cringe. 3.Kamran is everything I hate in men.

It lowkey annoys me so much that this book is taking the same road as shatter me. I don t want an Adam/Warner triangle all over again. Also I’m tired of annoying characters. I want to punch Kamran in the face

Everything is kinda confusing but also beautiful? I have no idea anymore. Also why does Kamran act like a sad teenager. Also yay, go miss huda!
