The footnotes are still cool. Like how regional recipes may differ in China. For example tofu pudding is typically prepared one of two ways. The savory kind with soy sauce, roasted seaweed and dried shrimp. The sweet kind with sugar. Both think their way is the only good way.

I'm almost a quarter done and it feels like nothing has happened...

Finding this one a bit slow

Attention, Attention. The gates are down. The hunters are loose. Run. Run. Run.

I really like this book. The female MC with her feeling like something must be wrong with her for starting over in her 30s is something I understand deeply.
The longer we were together, the less I loved him, not more.
I think sometimes we can love the wrong person. Maybe they are the right person at first and then time passes and they become wrong.

The weird preachy "phantom" chapter is not my jam. I hope there aren't many chapters from this pov.

I'm hoping this captures my attention better soon

Not sure about the health food craze and the constant talking about what they are eating and getting rid of grains from the diet.
Feels like its taking a bit to get set up

This is fine so far. Nothing wonderful, nothing bad.

I actually went and read a couple chapters for the first time in forever.
