Oh man. Das Buch war einfach zu hübsch von außen. Das sollte einem eine Warnung sein. Diese Vergleiche und Metaphern bringen mich um. Keiner untersucht den eigentlichen Mord. Und der Lektor hat an verschiedenen Stellen einfach nur gepennt. Peinlich.

Not very far into the book and call me a style Nazi but the present tense in combination with the 3rd person just BOTHERS me.I try not to be bothered because apart from that, the style is gorgeous!! But I can't help it, this book overwhelms me with its immediacy! Also, some parts are so very detailed it bores the crap out of me. I want to love this book so badly and hope sparks between us will fly later on...

It's quite readable and I'm starting to get into this whole angel business. I like that it is clear from the beginning that Clare is a half-angel. I would absolutely ADORE this book if the guy she's supposed to rescue turned out to be an asshole and she'd actually fall in love with the obnoxious brother guy.
