Rereading it 12 years later...

I'll probably be finished with it by the end of this month. 520 chapters in out of 600+ :)) This book is so long it's taking me a while month to read it.

This is so interesting! Really long novel,I am on chapter 108, and there are 589 chapters on total. Enjoying it very much. This is similar to Story of Ming Lan, heavy inner court politics, but also tons of political intrigue. Both MCs are pretty ruthless, one because she died in modern times and got reborn in ancient times with her previous life memories intact, another because he lived the same life once already..

Why is this so freaking good?!! I am absolutely binge reading this. Both FL and ML are so kickass! Absolutely brilliant, especially fight scenes.

This is totally my catnip! The heroine is super calculative for survival sake in a big family where she is an adoptive daughter. Very much reminds me of Love Like The Galaxy. I am binge-reading this despite a million things which needs to be done in the house instead of reading ;)))

I am so lost here. First book was listened to a couple of years back, and I don't remember anything!

Currently following cdrama Destined as it airs and reading it's bookish equivalent Long Wind Crossing. Unfortunately, Goodreads doesn't have it shelved in English but I am reading it in English.

So good! It's a very long read. I think I'm 190 chapters in out of 300+ and it's just a perfect blend of very captivating wuxia fantasy and stark eroticism.

So far, this is delightful!

I'm actually reading all the volumes together 300+ chapters, and holy hell, this is dark, but interesting too. I do enjoy rebirth stories, and the conspiracy here is very well written.

God save me from bad sex scenes on audio books. I've been cringing listening to them here. Trying to skip as much as possible. Also, this book is definitely suffering from the second book syndrome...

OMG, there is no way Immortality TV drama which is supposed to be based on this book will ever see the light of day in current BL drama censorship in China! This is awesome but really quite brutal, with flashes of stark eroticism in between. I'm enjoying the hell out of it!

Almost finished reading all the extra chapters. I loved it so much! On the wave of my obsession with Till The End of The Moon c-drama based on this novel, it made me lose sleep for a couple of nights. Atrocious translation does not take away from the good parts. Totally reminded me of R.Lee Smith writing.

It started slow but it's picking up now, thank god!

I love Rob Wolf's Wired to Eat, so this is a delight to listen to.

I fear this is another upcoming DNF... I really dislike the writing style and keep skipping to actual sparce dialogues instead of the formulaic descriptions which take the majority of the space right now. I'll give it another 5% and see.

On book two already. This is both entertaining and one dimensional. Like there are only two main characters who are fleshed out, the rest are caricaturish and interchangeable.

"He's got the brains of a raspberry pavlova!" *bwahaha*

Pretty much started giggling straight away. It's great on audio few chapters in!

A lot of going around in circles happening, and I am battling through it. This book would have benefitted from condensing it. It feels longer than the other two.

4. THE DRAGONS OF SUMMER by Jeffe Kennedy. 4/5. Surprisingly, I didn't hate it. I don't usually like Jeffe's writing, but this novella reeled me in like a fish, and at some point I had to finish it before putting the book down. I might even *gasp* go back and read Ursula's book to find out more about her and her man. Overall, a good read. Unexpectedly, this time it worked its magic on me.

3. A CURSE FOR SPRING by Amanda Bouchet. 4/5. Sweet, little fairy tale which held my attention throughout. It might have been formulaic, butit was bright, colourful and engaging. Would it get me back into reading this author? Probably not. Would I recommend her to someone who'd like her style more than me? For sure.

2. A WILDERNESS OF GLASS by Grace Draven 5/5. This was gorgeous, moody and poetic, definitely a must read for the fans of The Shape of Water. Like the previous short in the same setting this story is incredibly rich and heartfelt for something so restrained by the format. Brida is lovely and reminds me a main heroine from Entreat Me, and Ahtin is adorable. This was my absolute favorite of the anthology.

1. Winter's Web is alright. A solid 3/5, and as I stopped following Gin's adventures a long time ago, it was difficult for me to get back to this world. Still, a cool look at what can go wrong at Renaissance Fair and an enjoyable description of ridiculous costumes for main heroes.

Дочитала Королевский Крест. 4 звезды. Затягивает писатель очень. Темп энергичный и мир классно построен. Сейчас уже читаю Царя Горы.

Really enjoying it! The force is strong in this one :)
